Mystique

Raven Darkhölme alias Mystique from the X-Men. This is currently my fifth mutant and I don’t think I’ve ever drawn her before. Mystique should be a feminist icon really. Her comic book version. OG Mystique was an assassin and a terrorist, she’s also one of the first openly gay characters in comic books. Biological mother to Nightcrawler and Graydon Creed and adopted mother of Rogue, Mystique is a mastermind who works for no one for herself. Like my previous character Demona, they not only share their red hair and blue skin, but also their complex anti-hero build. I found that extremely curious.
