Sarai

Sarai from Laini Taylor's Strange the Dreamer duology. Ok So there’s a lot to unpack here, Sarai is one of five teens born with blue skin called godspawn. They live alone (the gods having been slayed by a human) with two caretaking ghosts in a blue metal citadel, shaped as a giant angel, floating above the city of Weep. Each teen has a power, Sarai’s is that when night falls she loses her voice, so when she tries to scream moths will come out instead of sounds. These moths settle on the sleeping citizens of Weep allowing Sarai to walk into their dreams, and even influence them. The other kids have nicknamed her the muse of nightmares. So yeah, as I said in my process stories I’ve been feeling kind of bored with my art lately, so i really wanted to push myself to make a scene, to give drama and emotion and if it weren’t for the painting of that giant metal hand, I would’ve greatly enjoyed this. Regardless I’m really, really proud of it. I think it’s one of my best work yet.
