Medusa alias a hell of my own making. This is a digital painting of one of my favorite inktobers, my Tranquil Medusa from 2018. I thought this would be easy because it’s a portrait and also the drawing was already done. Well I was wrong. I have a toxic relationship with scales and it needs to END. I legitimately thought this painting was going to be the end of me. Also last minute I gave her a body because if y’all have been seeing my stories y’all would’ve seen she was just a floating head but then I thought, Medusa was raped by Poseidon and then Athena turned her into a gorgon because it happened in her temple and then she was made out to be a monster for thousands of years in mythological writings and teachings so Medusa deserves better. So last minute I gave her a body and even a Greek-ish dress.
