03B16C - Link and Zelda

Link and Zelda from Legend of Zelda 💚. Ok so this was originally supposed to be a landscape and I was not feeling it so somehow I ended up here. I put a looot of pressure on myself to not screw this up. Legend of Zelda is incredibly important to a lot of people I know, and I didn’t want to let them down. Up until a couple of years ago, I was a casual Zelda fan. I had only played Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword. But when Breath of the Wild came out and after my boyfriend was partially done with it, I started playing and it changed my life. Also despite being a heavy metal princess, I’m a hopeless romantic and I really hope I get to see Zelda and Link get together in an actual game before I die. Painting wise this was definitely one of the most complex pieces I’ve done. There were so many elements (mainly my fault for putting them there). I used my boyfriend’s Hyrule Historia to try to make sure all the elements were correct. Link is dressed in his Twilight Princess garb because the hue was green but Zelda is in her BotW outfit because it was the simplest Zelda outfit I could find. I regret nothing. Also I used as reference two Korean pop idols for their faces so bragging rights to anybody who figures out who I used.
